My first poll! I have now reached the pinnacle of my blogging career and it will be all downhill from here. Now that’s a scary thought. This damn poll forced me to change my theme and after realizing the new design looked like crap in Internet Explorer(and also Avant, the browser I was using, as it is based on IE) it also converted me into a Firefox user. Not bad for a first poll. Anyway like the title says, do you read summaries? Most people I’ve talked to just don’t read any summaries and so I’ve been wondering if I should shorten mine down or remove them alltogether. So please vote and if you’d like to elaborate just leave a comment.

Like the new look (altho can’t remember the old one), Rebby FTW

Umm yeah, I’ll a bit for non subbed shows, and sometimes a couple of lines for shows i’ve already watched just to jog my memory about them, and then skip to the blogger’s opinions

(Jesus christ this comment text is big)

You’re right, the text is pretty big in Firefox but it was simply humongous in IE. I’ll have to look into that. :P

I don’t really read summaries. I’ll usually just skim down to the author’s opinions. I used to write them myself back in the earlier days of my site, but then I decided to just do posts on my opinions. When I write that way then I find that I can describe what happened in a show in minor detail with a small amount of spoiler content so that people can know what I’m going on about, but they also get a feel for what I thought about the show, and I think that’s the most important.

Hm, this is a useful poll. Lately I’ve just stopped doing episode summaries even though those are what I do best. Only on doramas, movies and my favorite shows will I do a recap nowadays. As for reading recaps, I do read them occasionally, but mostly Garten’s and that’s after I saw the Honey and Clover episode.

KT Kore - Yeah I remember when you changed your writing style. I tried a different approach to my review of Ergo Proxy 16 and I found it alot more fun to write that way than one of my usual summaries.

Os - I also like to read Garten’s recaps but I stupidly enough read them before I actually see the episode. >_< I managed to keep myself from spoiling ep 8 of Honey and Clover though, because that was just too much a cliffhanger to spoil from ep 7.

I do read summaries, mostly I read the author’s opinions. Thanks for all this!
