I watch samurai champloo always by chance in animax, and this time end up watching the final episode. The time i was watching the final scene i was like thinking that after they separate ways they will coincidentally meet each other again like all the path they’ve taken will circle around in to one point. Though i’ve gotta say the way it ended is perfect for it better not to have a season 2 or it might disrupt the vibe of the whole story. I was just thinkin’ the girl Mugen met and i was like thinking that he might accidentally met her in the end(i don’t know what episode it is but it’s when jin accidentally find tons of money by the river).
What’s funny is that i finished watching this anime w/o even knowing the name of the female lead or maybe i just have forgotten it, i was reading the blog above and saw the girl’s name and i was like “oh she was fuu”. But i don’t intend to rewatch the whole anime itself i’ll just leave what i have watch as it is.^^,

i loved bokura ga ita! i’m so happy they’re making two live action movies, but i’m still a little depressed about the way the anime ended because i heard there probably won’t be a series 2, so that sucks

Just finished watching the series again. Samurai Champloo is one of my top favorite animes to watch( FLCL and Elfen lied are with them there). Music was with the mood and ups the beat. The story to me was pretty good. My only problem was with some of the supporting characters as they were kinda flat(only a few stood out). The ending was truly great to me and Mugen basically says what the point of the show is; its not about the beginning or the end, its about what happens in between.

It’s awesome that I found this page and your comment just as I finished the series for the third time. I was able to grasp much more this time around but I still wasn’t feeling the ending… until just now. I was looking for a story book happy ending and this show was indeed about life (in an abstract way). I wanted Fuu to be romantically entwined with one of the two (I liked Jin, but I believe she had a thing for Mugen, right?)and for them to be friends forever and be together- the end. But, that’s not life. People come. People go. You make decisions. And that’s what this story was all about. In the end… they all made a decision. Mugen faced the past he was running from (again, in an abstract way). Jin decided to fight for someone else despite his prior decision to exist only for himself. Fuu forgave her Father… What’s left? Nothing. And then, life goes on.
